We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) shaft systems and main bearing design to join our team. You will design and optimize tapered roller bearing systems for wind turbines, improve performance and reliability, resolve technical issues, and support modeling and verification processes. Join us to innovate in renewable energy engineering.

Your tasks and primary responsibilities will be as such:
  • Design and optimize tapered roller bearing (TRB) shaft systems for wind turbines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and improving competitiveness in weight, cost, and reliability. 
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, including root cause analysis, during testing and operation of TRB shaft systems. 
  • Support modeling, simulation, and design verification of shaft systems. 
  • Ensure compatibility and reliability of TRB shaft systems with adjacent subcomponents. 

Qualifications
We expect you to have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Additionally, we envision that you have:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wind turbine shaft system design, with a focus on TRB design preferred. 
  • Proficiency in TRB shaft system design principles, including bearing selection, lubrication, and seals. 
  • Experience with design and simulation tools such as ANSYS and Creo. 
  • Strong English communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
     

Information

We prefer that you can be part of the headquarters in Aarhus, but this is not a requirement. It is expected that there will be approximately 10-15 days of travel per year.
