We are looking for a Junior Laboratory Maintenance Engineer to support our client's advanced physics and semiconductor laboratory and cleanroom in Kongens Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen.

As a Junior Laboratory Maintenance Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of laboratory and cleanroom equipment.
Responsibilities
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on laboratory and semiconductor process equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and performing calibration activities.
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
- Coordinate and facilitate service activities with external vendors and suppliers.
- Participate in laboratory and facility improvement projects.
- Provide technical support for micro- and nanofabrication equipment.
- Contribute to improving equipment uptime, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support researchers and laboratory users with technical issues and equipment operation.
- Help document maintenance activities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support training and knowledge sharing across the laboratory organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Previous industry experience is not required. However, candidates must have demonstrated hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, installing, or supporting technical or scientific equipment through university laboratory work, thesis projects, internships, student jobs, engineering projects, or similar activities.
Particularly relevant experience includes:
- Maintenance, servicing, repair, installation, commissioning, or qualification of advanced technical or scientific equipment.
- Experience working with semiconductor fabrication equipment used for thin film deposition, lithography, etching, metrology, or Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), preferably with responsibilities related to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, or support.
- Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, vacuum, or instrumentation systems.
- Calibration, fault finding, and performance optimization of technical equipment.
- Scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Experience with High Vacuum (HV), Ultra High Vacuum (UHV), or cryogenic systems is considered an advantage but is not a requirement.
