We are looking for a Laboratory Maintenance Technician to support our client's advanced physics and semiconductor laboratory and cleanroom in Kongens Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen.
The laboratory is among the most advanced in Europe, offering a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art semiconductor and nanofabrication equipment in a dynamic environment alongside scientists, researchers, and engineers.
This role is ideal for a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician, Field Service Technician, or Process Technician from the semiconductor, electronics, or advanced manufacturing industry who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and keeping complex equipment operating at peak performance.
The Role
As a Laboratory Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous
improvement of laboratory and cleanroom equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory and semiconductor process equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform calibration activities.
- Coordinate and facilitate service activities with external vendors and suppliers.
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
- Carry out facility and laboratory improvement projects.
- Provide maintenance and technical support for micro- and nanofabrication equipment.
- Help improve equipment uptime, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Support and train new employees in equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience maintaining and servicing advanced technical equipment, ideally gained within the semiconductor, electronics, photonics, advanced manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or research equipment industries.
A technical education, vocational training, or equivalent practical experience is highly relevant. An engineering degree is not required.
Required Experience
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration of advanced equipment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience maintaining, servicing, installing, or commissioning semiconductor fabrication equipment and related process tools.
- Familiarity with equipment used for thin film deposition, lithography, etching, metrology, inspection, Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), or similar high-tech manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with High Vacuum (HV), Ultra High Vacuum (UHV), cryogenic systems, or MBE equipment.
