We are looking for a Junior Lab Support Engineer (Instrumentation & Rack Integration) for our client's physics and semiconductor laboratory in Kongens Lyngby.
You get to work with cutting-edge technology in a highly dynamic environment of scientists, researchers, and engineers pushing the boundaries of quantum computing.
In this role, you will support day-to-day lab and hardware operations, including instrumentation integration, electronics rack assembly, RF hardware installation, networking, and measurement system troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, cable, label, and maintain room-temperature instrumentation and electronics racks
- Install and configure laboratory instrumentation, RF components, power distribution, and network-connected equipment
- Support setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network-connected instrumentation and laboratory equipment
- Support bring-up and troubleshooting of measurement stations and test setups
- Troubleshoot RF/DC measurement systems and instrumentation
- Write Python scripts for instrument control, automation, and data collection
- Prepare and maintain hardware assembly and rack integration documentation
- Check lab inventory and provide general laboratory support
- Continuously improve service quality and efficiency
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a recent graduate with a Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field, with hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Instrumentation or electronics racks
- Laboratory instrumentation and test equipment
- RF hardware and RF measurements
- Instruments such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, or lock-in amplifiers
- Network-connected instrumentation
- Python programming
- Laboratory or cleanroom environments
- Experience with cryogenic systems is considered an advantage
- Good organizational skills and capable of working on multiple projects in parallel
- Strong attention to detailBe a good team player
