We are looking for a skilled IFIB-SEM Technician for our client’s physics and semiconductor laboratory in Copenhagen. The lab is among the largest in Europe and you get to work with cutting-edge technology in a highly dynamic environment of scientists, researchers, technicians and engineers trying to push the boundaries of computing.
In this role you will operate FIB and SEM tools following standard protocols. You will be working closely with the fabrication, packaging and characterization teams to carry out FIB-cutting and imaging requests.
Responsibility
- Execution of standardized FIB and SEM processes.
- Daily monitoring of SEM characterization and FIB cutting techniques.
- Documentation (tool and process log, MES, project reports).
- Model safety standards and practices including compliance with policies, adherence to safety in a variety of work environments, and escalating issues with appropriate urgency.
- Communicate and report to the lead person.
- Provide service delivery in English (oral and written).
- Continuously improve the service quality and efficiency.
- Help train new employees.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate with a master’s degree in an experimental science (Physics, Chemistry, Nanotech, Electrical Engineering etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Dual-beam (Focus Ion beam (FIB) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)) operation, and basic knowledge of the technologies.
- Proficiency in Python or experience with automation software for microscope application is preferred.
- Experience with SEM or FIB system maintenance (incl. calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing) is a plus.
- BSc in Materials, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field.
